  8. 1.00 (27-Jun-1989): Upgrading from Arthur (DosFS 0.29) to RISC OS.
  9. 1.01--1.02        : Some (fairly significant) speed improvements were made.
  10. 1.03              : The second copy of the FAT was not updated correctly,
  11.                     which gave errors on the Atari ST; volume labels
  12.                     (which are just invisible file names in the root
  13.                     directory) could be deleted and copied onto.
  14. 1.04 (11-Oct-1989): The first file on a disc could be saved incorrectly
  15.                     in certain circumstances.
  16. 1.05 (03-Mar-1990): File type expansion hooked up the stack in some
  17.                     cases, which caused all filers to die.

  19. 1.10 (19-May-1990): Renumbering because version numbers were completely
  20.                     mixed up. First release of Filer2.
  21. 1.11 (05-Jun-1990): The time conversion routine could return with the
  22.                     V-flag set as a result of the last computation.
  23.                     This caused an error condition and subsequent
  24.                     non-functioning of DosFS today -- an error which
  25.                     would have repeated every 497 days.
  26. 1.12 (16-Jun-1990): Count dosfs:$ now works ok ($ could not be found).
  27. 1.13 (20-Sep-1990): Access translation of directories changed from DL
  28.                     (an anachronism) to D, allowing them to be deleted
  29.                     (with check if directory empty). Corrected: *BytesFree.
  30.                     Some operations were possible on the volume label.

  32. --COMPLETELY NEW VERSION-- [First release 1.20a 04-Sep-1990, now 1.20n]
  33.  
  34. 1.20 (15-Oct-1990): Speed increase in multiple file operations and operations
  35.                     on subdirectories. Added: *DosMap, *FileInfo (shows 1st
  36.                     cluster) *DosVolume, full disc name support based on
  37.                     volume labels, wildcards, current directory. Major
  38.                     addition: implementation of byte-operations (Open, Close,
  39.                     BPut, BGet, Args). In particular the filer now also
  40.                     works in a full desktop, where copying failed because
  41.                     the Filer reverted to byte-ops. In some cases error
  42.                     messages are made more helpful (not always possible if
  43.                     Risc-OS Filer gives them). Subdirectories of arbitrary
  44.                     length supported.

  50. 2.50 (11-Aug-1990): OSCLI("BytesFree") replaced by *BytesFree, title
  51.                     of window was corrupted if OSCLI was used (!).
  52.                     CRLF conversion corrected.
  53. 2.60 (07-Oct-1990): Added: DosFS 1.20 DosMap and DosVolume. In filer
  54.                     windows disc name appears (if present), so you can
  55.                     have multiple windows open. Automatic file typing
  56.                     added using system variables.
